Why Acumatica Classic UI Screens May Stop Loading in Chrome and Edge After November 17, 2026

What Is Happening?

Beginning November 17, 2026, several browsers, including Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, will discontinue support for XSLT, a technology that certain Classic UI features rely on to render screens and navigation. 

If your organization runs Acumatica on the Classic UI, some of your screens may stop displaying correctly if you are using Chrome or Edge. This change will happen outside of Acumatica itself.  

When Chrome and Edge support ends, affected screens and navigation functions may not work as expected in those browsers. Acumatica’s Modern UI does not depend on XSLT in the same way, so it is not expected to be affected.  

This matters beyond the immediate browser issue: Modern UI is already expected to become the required user interface in Acumatica 2026 R2, so the move away from Classic UI is coming regardless. 

What Areas May Be Impacted?

Based on information currently available, the primary area affected is “Generic Inquiry” results screens, including many of the navigation menus users rely on to reach key system records. In some cases, screens may not open or display correctly when accessed through Chrome or Edge. Because so much day-to-day navigation runs through these screens, the practical effect may be far-reaching. 

What to Do, Based on Your Environment

The right next step depends on which version of Acumatica you run and whether your system includes customizations. Find the scenario below that matches your environment. If you have customizations, read that section as well, since customization guidance applies on top of your version path. 

• If you are on Acumatica 2025 R1 or earlier
  Plan an upgrade to Acumatica 2026 R1 and prepare for Modern UI adoption. Any existing customizations should be reviewed and updated as needed to confirm they work with Modern UI. 

• If you are on Acumatica 2025 R2 or later
  Work with Net at Work to evaluate and enable Modern UI. Environments without customizations may be able to make this transition with minimal disruption and typically without significant downtime. Users may still benefit from training and change management support, since parts of the interface will look and behave differently. 

• If you have customizations
  Customizations should be assessed and updated for Modern UI compatibility before you enable Modern UI in production. Our team can help evaluate customization impact, identify what needs remediation, and develop a practical transition plan.  

For some organizations, this work may call for advance planning, resource allocation, or budget discussions, so starting those conversations now helps avoid time pressure as the browser deadline approaches. 

Temporary Workarounds

A few interim options may help maintain functionality while longer-term plans take shape. 

1. Mozilla Firefox is not currently affected by this browser change and may serve as a temporary alternative for some users. 
2. Some members of the Acumatica community have reported success using a third-party Chrome extension that restores XSLT functionality. This solution has not been validated by Acumatica, and compatibility cannot be guaranteed. Any third-party software should be reviewed and approved by your IT and security teams before deployment. 3. Acumatica has indicated that it is working on patches for versions 2025 R1, 2025 R2, and 2026 R1. At this time, no release dates or limitations have been announced. While these updates may provide additional options, we recommend starting your planning efforts while awaiting further details.
